Natural Abstractions

As one of the purposes of this website is to encourage visitors to take time to see and appreciate the beauty that exists all around us, this gallery invites viewers to go out and take a closer look at the detail. At times, when that detail is separated from the scene as a whole it can become less recognizable. This detail moves towards abstraction; beautiful abstractions that occur in nature. Is this something of an oxymoron? Consider the definitions: natural…abstraction… All of the images presented here, no matter how unrecognizable, are of subjects that I observed through my viewfinder. I find such things as you will see in this gallery exciting subject matter for fine art photography. I hope that you agree and will find the perfect photo to download.
