Welcome to Images by Dennis Hilke 

Hello and welcome to Images by Dennis Hilke. Through this website I hope to achieve several goals. Certainly it is my intent to provide beautiful, original and downloadable fine art photographs to be used in the multitude of ways digital stock photos are used; but also, I hope to increase awareness of the beauty that exists all around us. Beauty that is easily evident if we take but a moment to see it. And consider: you need not travel far to find it. In addition, with this web gallery I give answer to the question: “How much can you do with a point-and-shoot?” The images presented in this site’s Galleries were not captured with an expensive, professional level camera. All were taken with the remarkably fun Kodak DX 7590 digital camera. Thank you, Kodak!

My workflow goes something like this: I “plink” with this remarkable camera. Then, after editing, I clean and enhance the photos in Adobe Photoshop to create the original fine-art photographs available to you in this site’s galleries. And though the photos in these collections have not been captured using the most expensive camera money can buy and are not of the highest resolution, they are nonetheless beautiful. I would like also to point out that I base my editing on three main criteria: color, composition and piquancy. Don’t you just love that?! “Peekuncy”, the quality of being agreeably stimulating or mentally exciting.

I feel strongly that the work exhibited in the following galleries reflect these considerations successfully. I hope you will enjoy my galleries and find images that suit your stock photo needs. Thank you.
